I missed my bus to Dr Feelgood's this morning, and took a cab instead. The cab driver had just returned from his daughter's wedding in Wolverhampton, so we spent most of the ride talking about the midlands, and how english men are fat . Or maybe I completely misunderstood the conversation.

I checked online and I got my student loan. A grand less than I got last year, but, oh well. I'll make it work. I'm just relieved to know that I have it and I won't have to try to work full time and go to school.

I'm supposed to be tattooed today, but I've left message after message for Ken, and nada. I'm not going all the way to the north end to have him pull this. I'm not impressed.. I booked today off work to get it done.
Although I've very much enjoyed this day off, so I suppose I shouldn't complain too much.

I bought blueberries, and now I'm gonna go eat them.

You can appeal your loan. Try to get them to give you more money. They often do. :)

I appealed last year, and they gave me an extra 5 grand in the form of a grant, which was nice. I keep reminding myself that I'll have to pay it back, and it would be wise to take as little as possible, but really.. who does that?
I need to take a look at the breakdown when it arrives. What sort of reasons do you use to appeal? Last year I said I wasn't going to be working after all, so they increased it, but I worked anyway.

Not working, or at least saying you'll earn less than you had predicted, seem to be the easiest ways. Push down your "savings" from the summer, if you said you'll have any. Did you notice the line they have now for computer expenses? they'll give up to $300 for that. Paper, ink, it all adds up.

They always complain my living expenses are too high. I haven't quite figured out how to deal with that. I think if I push the numbers down a bit, they might like me more and give me more, but I could be completely wrong.

Good luck!
